Devdas Baliga is the Country Group Head, Law Patents and Compliance (LPC), South Asia at Bayer since April 2020.
As Country Group Head, Devdas Baliga helps business navigate a dynamic regulatory environment while responding to its diverse needs with agility. He is passionate about the adoption of technology and digitization to drive efficiencies while safeguarding Bayer’s interests. He is responsible for all legal activities including business partnering, dispute resolution, corporate governance, Intellectual Property/patents, business transactions, regulatory, data privacy, cyber security and integrated compliance management.

With an illustrious career spanning over 25 years, Devdas has worked in leadership roles with various organizations such as The Coca-Cola Company, Procter &Gamble / Gillette India, The Times of India group and the National Stock Exchange of India. Prior to joining Bayer, he worked with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)’s Consumer Healthcare as Executive Vice President, Legal, for the Indian subcontinent from 2017 to April 2020.
Devdas holds Bachelor degrees in Commerce and Law from the University of Delhi and a Post Graduate Diploma in EU Competition Law from King’s College, London. He is also a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
