Long term efforts to fight Covid-19

As part of Bayer’s Societal commitment to strengthen healthcare facilities in rural and underserved areas of the country, 4 oxygen plants have been set up in India. The plants have been designed to cater to the high demand for medical-grade oxygen at the hospitals. With the capacity to generate, supply, and store 93-95% pure medical oxygen, the plants will provide oxygen supply to Oxygenated beds, CCU, ICU & OTs.

This initiative which supports medical oxygen requirements of ~6,70,000 community members aim at enabling access to quality health services for effective management of COVID -19 and will continue to treat patients with other health challenges even post the pandemic. The dedicated oxygen plants ensure a steady and stable supply of oxygen, a critical factor in saving the lives of needy patients in the hospital.
The oxygen plants are located at:
- Sambalpur district of Odisha
- Raichur district of Karnataka
- Tikamgarh in Madhya Pradesh
- Guwahati in Assam
